Section 3: Hazards Identification
EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
Nonflammable liquid (Flash point >300 °F) with Pungent Odor, and expected low volatility; Eye and Skin contact may cause burns or severe irritation; Inhalation may cause respiratory tract irritation; Harmful if swallowed.
HMIS: Health: 3, Flammability:1, Reactivity: 0
(0 = Minimal, 1 = Slight, 2 = Moderate, 3 = Serious, 4 = Severe)
POTENTIAL ROUTES OF ENTRY INCLUDE - Eye, Skin, Inhalation, and Ingestion.
POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS
Eye: May cause chemical burn or severe irritation, experienced as pain, with excess blinking and tear production.
Skin: Prolonged contact may be irritating to the skin or cause chemical burns. Overexposure to aromatic amines via skin absorption, may cause cyanosis, (purplish-blue color of the skin, lips and fingernails)
Inhalation: apor or mist inhalation may be very irritating and may cause nasal discharge, coughing, and discomfort in nose and throat. Prolonged or repeated overexposure may result in lung damage. Material expected to have low volatility at normal room temperature therefore inhalation hazard increases when material is heated, sprayed, or used in poorly ventilated areas or confined spaces.
Ingestion: Not a likely a significant route of exposure while following good work practices during normal industrial use. If a significant amount is ingested it may cause burning of mouth, throat, and stomach with abdominal and chest pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, thirst, weakness, and collapse.
Cancer Information:
None of the primary components are listed by NTP or IARC.
None of the primary components are regulated OSHA carcinogens.
Medical Conditions Which May Be Aggravated:
Inhalation of vapors or mists may aggravate preexisting respiratory problems and skin contact may aggravate existing skin conditions.

Section 4: First Aid Measures
(See Section 11 Toxicology for information on toxicity and Notes to Physicians.)
EYE: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Hold eyelids apart while flushing to rinse entire surface of eye and eyelids with water. Do not attempt to neutralize with chemical agents. IF IRRITATION PERSISTS, IMMEDIATELY CONSULT WITH TRAINED MEDICAL PERSONNEL.
SKIN CONTACT: Immediately remove contamination from skin by washing with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing. Consult with trained medical personnel if irritation or other symptoms occur.
INHALATION: Move patient to fresh air. If breathing has stopped give artificial respiration. Get medical attention.
INGESTION: Should emergency first aid be required as a result of accidental ingestion, immediately consult with physician or poison control center and follow instructions of medical personnel.

Section 5: Fire Fighting Measures
Flammable Properties: Believed to be Non-Flammable
Flash Point: >300 °F Pensky-Martins closed Cup
Auto-ignition Temp: Not Tested
Lower Explosive Limit (LEL): Not Tested
Upper Explosive Limit (UEL): Not Tested
(Flammable Limits = Vol. % in air by ASTM-E)
Extinguishing Media: Use appropriate extinguishing media for surrounding fire:
Water Fog, Carbon Dioxide, Dry Chemical, Alcohol Foam
Fire Fighting Instructions: As with any fire, wear approved self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure demand mode and full protective gear.
Hazardous Combustion Products: Ammonia, oxides of nitrogen, oxides of carbon (CO2, CO), phosphorus and acidic vapors, aldehydes and ketones may be formed on burning in a limited air supply, possible hydrogen bromide and/or bromine, traces of hydrogen cyanide and other toxic gases. Unusual Fire And Explosion Hazards: Heat may increase pressure inside closed containers and cause them to rupture.

Section 6: Accidental Release Measures
SPECIFIC RECOMMENDATIONS: Follow standard industry practices for cleaning up chemical spills. There are no product specific techniques or recommendations for cleaning spills of this material.
GENERAL SPILL RESPONSE CONSIDERATIONS: Remove ignition sources. Stop leak if qualified and able to do so safely. Dike spill to prevent spreading into soil, sewage or other drainage systems, or bodies of water. Secure spill area. Open enclosed spaces to outside atmosphere. Be aware that vapors may tend to collect in low out of the way places.
Cover with inert material to absorb. Collect all contaminated material and place in container for proper disposal.
Always use proper personal protective equipment when cleaning-up spills.

Section 7: Handling and Storage
Practice reasonable care and caution in handling this material. Keep containers tightly closed. Store in a cool dry ventilated area. Protect from physical damage. Secondary containment is recommended for large volume storage to minimize impacts from an accidental release. Open containers carefully to allow any pressure build-up to vent safely. Do not get in eyes and avoid skin contact. Avoid breathing vapors. Read label before use.

Section 8: Exposure Controls/Personal Protection
Ventilation: Good general dilution ventilation matched to the conditions of product use is recommended to minimize potential exposures. Activities that generate aerosols are better controlled by local exhaust ventilation.
Respiratory Protection: Respiratory protection may be required to eliminate exposure to vapors or mist from this product when ventilation as described above is not provided. Should workplace conditions warrant the use of a respirator, ensure all requirements set forth under OSHA's 29 CFR 1910.134 on respiratory protection are met. A NIOSH/MSHA approved air purifying respirator with organic vapor cartridges may be appropriate under certain circumstances. Air supplied respirators should always be worn when airborne concentration of the contaminant or oxygen content is unknown.
Eye/Face Protection: Always wear chemical goggles, or safety glasses with side shields when working around this material. Use chemical goggles in conjunction with a protective face shield where splash or aerosol generation is anticipated
Skin Protection: Worker clothing should be appropriate for the risk of exposure. Any appropriate combination of chemical resistant clothing, whole body suites, aprons, gloves, and rubber boots should be appropriate to prevent hazardous skin contact.
